                                                                              MY TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

Many people have real and sometimes overwhelming problems that they need to face and solve.  Individuals can experience worry and unhappiness about common issues such as relationship problems, loneliness, depression, anxiety, anger issues, work stress, feeling incompetent, financial stress, divorce, drug and alcohol concerns, feeling guilty, and others.   These basic concerns underlie many psychological problems.  In fact, these are all treatable.

It is my belief that all individuals, no matter how stressed or overwhelmed, have the capacity to improve their life in some meaningful way.  I work jointly with clients to build a solid and compassionate therapeutic relationship. Specifically, I would work together with you to develop an indivudalized treatment plan.  We would work on treatment goals to find your unique strengths and solutions.  One of the things I enjoy most about my job is helping people improve their lives, explore answers and accept the responsibility to make desired changes.

                                                                          CERTIFIED GOTTMAN COUPLES THERAPIST

I work with couples to help partners connect more deeply and compassionately, manage conflict better, and honor everyday dreams.  I believe each partner within a couple has a story that needs to be heard.   I help couples build trust and security and "have each other's back."    Intense fighting, affairs, separations, gridlocked problems, deep hurts, parenting struggles, financial difficulties, and feeling disconnected are common referrals issues.

I draw treatment strategies from the two most effective couple therapies, the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Couples work together with me to design their own custom-tailored treatment plan with specific goals.  I have worked with Drs. John and Julie Gottman since 2003 assisting in their couple workshops in Seattle.
